Man's Search For Meaning
Viktor Frankl
One of the most important books of all time...

Viktor Frankl survived the Nazi concentration camps. As a psychiatrist, he asked why some prisoners gave up, and some survived. Why some turned into animals, and some retained their humanity amidst the most horrible of circumstances. In this book Frankl explores the question of meaning in our lives. He realized that those who had a purpose, something bigger than themselves, tended to live. The meaning is simply to be "in response" responsible for our choices, in every moment.
