Why We Do What We Do In Life and in Business
Humans have learned how to conserve energy and effort. One of the best tools we've built is the use of habits. Almost half of all actions we take during the day are not deliberate choices, but are habits that we no longer even think about. An example would be brushing your teeth. At some point you really thought about that process. Now, it is a simple habit. Unfortunately, we also learn bad habits. Once they are in our brains, they are there for good. They literally are hard-wired. Just like the wiring that you created so you now can ride a bike easily, habits are hard- wired in. So, you don't erase habits, but you can replace them with new ones.
