Your Values, Purpose, Mission and Vision help you figure out what you want for yourself. Your Goals create a plan for how you intend to get what you want.

Those who write down their goals are far more likely to achieve them than those with unwritten goals. Committing your goals to writing:

  • Gives you the opportunity to clearly define what your goal is
  • Frees up mind space and allows you to take your strategy for achieving your goal to the next level
  • Incorporates all three learning techniques - visual, audio and physical - for greater retention and sparking creativity

Within the Summit Journey process we recommend having a maximum of five goals for a student to work on at one time. If you choose to have less, that's perfectly fine. We feel having more than five goals could overwhelm a student and fragment their progress on each goal, but as with all parts of your Summit Journey, that decision is yours to make. We want you to work in a manner that's comfortable and effective for you.

Also, you will see when you create a goal that you have space to create a title for your goal as well as to explain your goal in more detail. Take this opportunity to make your goal clear and easy for you to understand. If you can't understand your goal, it will be impossible to achieve it! And who needs that frustration?
